Clouds

He thought of giving up
he felt there was no solution
his heart was beating fast
his mind without disruption.

Such a little time, he knew
such a long life, he felt
so much yet unknown, he thought
can I discover the rest, he asked.

As her hand touched his head
and her fingers reached his scalp
only one feeling was there
yet nothing could come about.

He feared the discovery
give it away, lose himself
beyond appearances and stories
chose to remain a book in a shelf.

Her soft hands slowly distanced
backed off in all the pain
his sighs did not fulfilled
her ears, her heart or her veins.

No comprehension was found
his heart was yet full
but chose it in every round
to trust in silence, like a fool.

Her heart yet so joyful
No longer wished to doubt
Remained, thus, hopeful
of love, of clarity
of a day without clouds.

House of Souls

I saw a place crowded with souls
there were skulls and fingers and teeth
I saw a place filled with tragedy
traces of a tears and blood and sweat.

The smell was still in the air
remaining still undercover
their pain ripping apart my own soul
through barber wires and chains and ropes.

The place where once carried the horror
now brings money and questions
why and how could this all have happened?
weren’t they just human beings?
what fault justifies such cruelty?

I saw a place that can never be unseen
I saw souls hanging around the trees
I saw trees carrying those souls with them

And in me
it now lies
a witness of a horror to never forget.

The Road

I sit in a bus with a fixed destination
I sit in a seat which thousands have tried
I stare outside looking for clues
Where am I? I ask myself.

The music out of my EarPods leads my mind
To the place where no one else enters
I glance at the screen inside the vehicle
Nothing interesting, just distractions.

I look again outside
I hunt hints
I miss loved ones
I think of the future
I fear uncertainties
I drift in my mind.

I remember, at last
There is no ground
No sky and no wind
Which could stop me from moving
Which could kill my motion.

And for that and for more
I’m heading south today
But most frequently
I’m nowhere to be found.
